Jefferson Parent Council

Mission:

The Jefferson Parent Council (JPC) helps provide supplemental funding for curriculum/education and art enrichment needs for the students of Jefferson Elementary. Supportive parents make our school unique and successful.

What we fund:

  • ALL field trips for students
  • New books for our library
  • Supplemental curriculum supplies for classrooms (non-fiction readers, art supplies)
  • Art & Culture Residencies (guests) that work with our students throughout the year
  • Computers for students
  • Playground equipment and beautification of grounds

The benefits of being involved in your child’s school

  • Understand Jefferson’s academic philosophy
  • Discuss accomplishments/concerns with our principal
  • Celebrate Jefferson’s successes
  • Share your talents
  • Make friends

Meetings:

The JPC meets the every month. The meetings are open to any parent/guardian of a Jefferson student. Principal Lona Carter also attends.
