April 13th Friday Letter

April 13, 2018

Dear Parents and Students,

What a great week at Jefferson! I am so glad I get to spend my days teaching your amazing children.

NEXT WEEK: We will be going on a field trip on Wednesday, April 18th. We will be going to the Civic Center for the Youth Symphony! We will be gone from 12:30-3:00.

Join us for Family Literacy Night, EARTH DAY BOOK EXCHANGE, Thursday, April 19th, from 6:00-7:00. We will either be on the front lawn, or in the gym, depending on the weather!

THIS WEEK:

Math: Students began unit 7, more fractions! Unit 7 also introduces decimals.

Reading: Students took a break from our regular reading lessons to continue working with a novel Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary. We discussed themes of family, friendship, and language. We will be back to our normal reading schedule next week and will have a reading test on Friday.

Spelling: We did not have a spelling test this week. Next week’s words are in the Friday folder.

Social Studies: Students continued learning about Montana History.

Have a great weekend. Hopefully our warmer weather will stick around!

Sincerely,

Miss Miller
